I became involved with this project as a designer and felt compelled to help out the organization behind it – STAND, the Student Anti-Genocide Coaliton. I helped organize the 2007 Rally by taking charge of the marketing and A/V duties for the event.
The core tenet of the marketing campaign was a graffiti campaign (it was temporary spray chalk) around the city, which recieved press in the Boston Globe, Boston Metro and other local publications. The accompanying images are from my marketing campaign, as well as the artwork that was painted around the city, and a feature article from the Metro.
This is a cause that needs attention – if you're unfamiliar with the violations of human rights in Darfur and elsewhere, please take a look at this organization's site.
